Last weekend, we headed out to Albany for a family party. On Saturday we had a big barbecue at my parent’s house. There was smoked ribs and brisket, grilled chicken, ham, and my Uncle Nick’s famous eggplant parm! So good!
Sunday was a bit quieter, I was able to do a quick anniversary session with my parents. (We both celebrated our anniversary last week. You can read more here). My parents have been so generous to us when it comes to anniversary gifts, so this was our turn to do the giving! I have to admit, I was a little nervous to photograph my parents (especially since my dad is a photographer!), but it turned out to be so much fun!
As a kid, my parents took tons of photos, but most were of my sister and me or of the four of us. I think the last time that they had photos taken of just the two of them was probably at their own wedding, 32 years ago! So it was really great to be able to take some updated shots and celebrate the love that they still share all these years later.
It was raining, so we decided to take the photos on their front porch steps where the lighting was good and we wouldn’t get too wet. They turned out beautifully and I absolutely love them! Take a look!
