You might have noticed that I took a short break from doing session in February and March. Between the nasty weather and severe morning-sickness, I needed some time to rest before the coming busy season. Well, this weekend we headed down to Pennsylvania to visit family for Easter and I was able to shoot my first engagement session of the season! It felt so so good to be back behind the camera!
Caleb’s father’s family all live down in Bucks County, PA. It’s GORGEOUS down there! Not only do they have milder winters (although they might argue that fact this year!), everywhere you look there are beautiful stone farm houses and rolling fields! So picturesque! Caleb’s grandparents owned a flower farm and his aunts have since taken over the business, selling everything from tulips and hyacinths in the spring to hanging baskets in the summer and chrysanthemums in the fall. Easter is one of their busiest weekends and we spent much of our trip helping the family sell their gorgeous Easter arrangements. It really was so much fun!
While we were there, we got the chance to catch up with many of Caleb’s cousins. We hadn’t seen most of them in 3+ years! I’ll be shooting Caleb’s cousin Molly’s wedding in September (the last wedding before Baby 2 arrives!), so this weekend was the perfect opportunity to do a spring engagement session.
Molly is finishing up her nursing degree and Nick is in the Navy. They met by chance when Nick’s brother invited Molly to a family party at his house. Nick happened to be on leave that weekend and the two connected instantly. They’ve been together ever since.
These two are really cute together, even with a camera in front of them! With Molly finishing school in western Pennsylvania and Nick being stationed in Virginia, they are in quite the long-distance relationship. Seeing them together, it’s clear that the distance hasn’t affected the love they share! Molly and Nick clearly have a lot of fun together and their shoot was pretty relaxed, despite the busyness of the weekend!
Here are some of my favorite images from their spring engagement session!
