One of my favorite things about photography is that it gives me the chance to spend a hour with my clients and get to know them better. Even when I’ve known a family for a while, doing a family session allows me to see a different side of their relationships. I’ve only recently gotten to know the Sanders family, so doing their family portraits was a real treat! Plus, they chose one of my favorite locations! I can’t wait to share the images from their Green Lakes family session today!
Randi and Jeff are pretty new to the Syracuse area, having moved here last August. They’re both originally from Texas, but have moved around the country opening up gyms. Their current project, Athletic Apex inside of Destiny USA, is set to open at the end of the month! In addition to moving, this winter they welcomed their first child, Jaxon, to the family! They’ve certainly had some big changes over the last year, which is always a great reason for new family photos!
While Randi and Jeff are definitely very driven people, their family dynamic is very tender. Not only do they clearly love little Jax, they have also maintained a very close bond with each other. They made my job so easy when it came to posing because they were already so sweet with their interactions!
Jeff’s mom, Holly, happened to be in town the weekend of their session, so she was able to be in some of the photos as well. As much as I love photos of parents with their children, there are few things more precious than a grandmother holding her grandchild! I am thrilled to have captured some images of Jax with his Gigi!
