Mother’s Day Mini Sessions

Syracuse, New York

Remember those mini sessions I did back around Mother’s Day?  Well, they are today’s feature!  Between weddings and holidays it seems like forever ago that I took these images, but they are just too precious not to share!

The mini sessions were originally scheduled for the Saturday before Mother’s Day, but the weather was so crummy that we had to reschedule.  Thankfully both of the families I was working with were happy to pick another date that week!

With the change in schedule, I was able to be a bit more flexible with the locations of the sessions too!  Rather than having the photos up at Abbotts, I was able to do the Goddard family down in Franklin Square.  It was a perfect evening and the park was just bursting with flowers.  It was so special to be able to capture Rachel with each of her four children!  I was even able to get some photos of Rachel and her mom, who was in town visiting!  It was perfect for Mother’s Day!

The Himes family decided to stick with the location of Abbott Farms, and I’m so glad they did!  I’ve been wanting to do a session in the apple blossoms for a while now and I finally got my chance!  They made their session into a family session, which meant that Dad got to be included too!  The Himes have three kids, and they all cooperated wonderfully!  I was so impressed by how well they listened, and had a lot of fun photographing their interactions as a family!

While the Mother’s Day Mini Sessions didn’t turn out as I had originally planned, I think it was all for the better!  Here are my favorite images from these two sessions!
