Nanna Family Session

Syracuse, New York

I love when I have the opportunity to work with clients multiple times!  This family is particularly special because I not only did Tom and Teal’s maternity photos, but also little Kash’s newborn session!  So when Teal asked if I could do some six-month photos for them, I was so excited!

First, I have to tell you how awesome these guys are!  We had scheduled their session a few months ago and the day turned out to be dreary and rainy.  Despite the fact that the weather reports said the rain would pass by the evening, we wound up shooting in a steady drizzle.  Teal and Tom didn’t complain once and willingly embraced the rain!  Little Kash didn’t seem to mind either, which was pretty impressive for a six month old!

Not only was Kash ok with getting wet, he was one of the happiest babies I’ve ever photographed!  He was all smiles, especially when looking at Mom or Dad.  I always enlist the help of parent in getting little ones to look at the camera and smile, and Teal and Tom were experts!  It was so sweet seeing the way that they’ve settled into parenthood.  The role definitely suits them!

We had a fun time exploring the park, even in the rain!  Not only were the roses still blooming in the rose garden, but we were also able to make it to the amphitheater for a few shots.  Teal and Tom are both baseball fans and they had the cutest baseball onesie for Kash to celebrate the six month mark.  The front read “1/2 Way to First” and the back was personalized with his name!

This family of three are such sweethearts!  Here are my favorites from their Thornden Park family session!

  1. […] If this session is giving you feelings of deja vu, there’s a good reason for that! The Nanna Family is one of my favorite return clients and I look forward to their session every year. If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ve definitely seen their faces before. This year’s shoot was extra fun because we did their family session at Thornden Park – exactly the same place we did their session 4 years ago! […]
