Rebecca and David tied the knot two weeks ago with a beautiful winter wedding at the Orchard Vali Golf Club. It was hard for me to decide what to write about this wedding because I truly enjoyed all of it!
Let’s start with the details. I always love details because they make up a big part of the wedding day. Brides and grooms put so much thought into them, but often the guests never get to hear the full story. Rebecca and David’s details were not only gorgeous, but they also had special meaning. Rebecca’s jewelry was her “something borrowed” from a close friend. Her veil was handmade by Zelie Veils, which donates a portion of their proceeds to Love Justice, an organization that helps fight sex trafficking. David wore a gorgeous Fossil watch that Rebecca had given him on their first Valentine’s Day. If you look closely you can see the words “Love, Rebecca Ann” engraved on the back. All these little things show the heart that these two have for each other, their friends, and for serving others.
Rebecca and David elected to pray together before the wedding instead of doing a First Look. I love this idea for couples who don’t want to see each other before the ceremony. Rebecca and David were able to talk, pray, and exchange letters and it was a very tender moment. It also gave them a chance to have a moment completely alone together, which is a rare thing on a wedding day!
These two are one of the most tender couples that I’ve photographed. From glances and smiles during the ceremony to small kisses during their first dance, Rebecca and David were so incredibly sweet together! In their toasts, the best man and maid-of-honor spoke of how the relationship between Becca and David brought out the best qualities in each of them. Even though one day isn’t much time to have spent with someone, I can definitely say that that’s true!
Rebecca and David, we wish you the very best in your marriage! May you always feel the love and joy that radiated throughout your wedding day, and may God bless this next chapter of your lives!
