It’s no secret that Fresh 48 sessions are my favorite. There is something so special about meeting a baby when they are less than two days old. At Fresh 48 sessions I’m literally sharing in some of Baby’s first moments and it makes me tear up every time! Today’s session was no different.
When Janet and Dan first decided to do a Fresh 48, we were thinking the session would take place at the very end of July. Well, this little one had other plans! When Janet texted me to let me know she was in labor and at 9 cm I was so surprised! I started prepping for the session and waited for confirmation that the baby was here.
Janet and Dan decided not to find out the gender of the baby until they arrived. So when they texted me to let me know that Baby was here and was a little GIRL, I was so excited!
When I got to the hospital I was able to meet their sweet baby girl, Evangeline (“Evy”). With a head full of hair and a little round face, she is incredibly precious!!! Evy did SO GREAT during her first photo shoot. She slept the majority of the time and didn’t cry once!
Janet and Dan have an 2 year old daughter, Selah, and they wanted to make sure we captured her meeting her new baby sister. While Selah was a little bit shy at first, by the end of the session she was totally enthralled. She did a great job holding Evy and talking to her. I grew up with a little sister and I have two girls of my own, so watching these two meet for the first time was incredibly sweet for me!
