Samantha and Kyle tied the knot last weekend with an intimate Finger Lakes wedding at Fox Run Vineyards. The stunning views of Seneca Lake, combined with beautiful weather and the sweetest couple made for a perfect day!
Sam and Kyle have known each other for about 6 years. Kyle proposed in 2019 right after they closed on their new house in Waterloo. As they were walking in the door for the very first time, he turned around and got down on one knee! Sam was completely shocked, but said yes right away!
While Sam and Kyle had most of their wedding planning done pretty early, 2020 changed that. Over the past few months, these two have made so many changes and adjustments, including their venue! Like many couples, they decided to have an intimate ceremony this year and hold a larger reception with all of their friends and family in 2021.
Their small, but beautiful, ceremony was held at the top of Fox Run Vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees and the sun was just beginning to set. The two exchanged vows under an arbor that Kyle built himself!
They were surrounded by their closest friends, parents, and grandparents, many of whom played a large role in the wedding. Sam’s mother made all of the florals – the arbor decorations, bouquets, and boutonnieres – and they were stunning. One of their groomsmen served as the officiant, which made their ceremony feel so personal! Another friend carefully streamed the entire service online for family members who were unable to attend.
After the ceremony, Sam and Kyle made their way a reception at a house right on the lake. They shared their first dance, listened to toasts, and had the most delicious barbecue dinner! Of course, we snuck away for a few minutes to get some sunset photos of them on the dock! The night ended with cake. Sam’s mom made three beautiful bundt cakes, all of different flavors! It was the sweetest ending to a perfect day!
