Today I’m featuring one of the most joy-filled weddings I’ve photographed to-date! Anna and Chris tied the knot with a fall wedding at Brooklea Golf Club last weekend, surrounded by family and friends. From beginning to end, their day was filled with laughter!
When Caleb and I walked into Anna’s parents’ house where she was getting ready, we were immediately greeted by the happiest bride I’ve ever seen! Anna wasn’t a bit nervous about the day. She was just so EXCITED to be getting married! The atmosphere was simultaneously relaxed and joyful and made for the best start to the day for everyone.
Meanwhile, the guys were on top of things! When I make a wedding timeline, I try to give plenty of time for each section of the day. For this wedding, however, Caleb only had a half hour to photograph the guys. We had given Chris a heads up to be ready when Caleb arrived, but never expected that he and all of his groomsmen would dressed and waiting! These guys definitely deserve a shout-out for being so cooperative and making our day so much easier!
Anna and Chris had a traditional wedding ceremony at Asbury First United Methodist Church in downtown Rochester. The minister was just as animated as they were and at one point he had everyone laughing. Anna and Chris couldn’t stop smiling as they said their vows and exchanged rings! The church also live-streamed the ceremony so that their family and friends could watch from home!
Following the ceremony we headed to the Sunken Gardens at Highland Park for portraits. If you haven’t been to this section of Highland, you need to check it out! We had done Anna and Chris’ engagement photos here in the winter, but in the fall it’s just STUNNING. Once we had finished portraits (it was hard to tear myself away from such a beautiful location), we headed to Brooklea Golf Club for an intimate dinner reception.
