Felicia and Joe celebrated their marriage with a beautiful ceremony last weekend! We joked that they had the nicest weather of any of our 2020 couples with a sunny, 70 degree day in November! Their day was filled with so much laughter and joy, and I couldn’t be happier to share the images from their fall wedding at Ravenwood Golf Club!
Ravenwood is actually the spot where I shot my first ever wedding years ago!! On that day I was shooting as the second photographer for a friend of mine, so it was so fun to be back as the lead photographer! The venue is beautiful and the golf course offers such a large variety of portrait spots! Ravenwood is also known for its indoor-outdoor ceremony space, which is so nice on a beautiful summer or fall day!
We took full advantage of all the outdoor spaces for Felicia and Joe’s photos. Felicia and Joe opted to do a “First Touch” before the ceremony in which they would be able to hold hands and talk, but not really see each other. We led them onto one of the golf greens and had Joe stand with his back to the golf club. Felicia was able to approach him, take his hand, rest her head on his back, and even give him a little hug. Even though they had these private moments before the ceremony, Joe didn’t actually get to see Felicia until she came down the aisle!
After the ceremony we took bridal party photos followed by some STUNNING portraits of the bride and groom! The sun was setting as we posed them by the pond and the result was gorgeous! I especially love the photos of Joe dipping Felicia backwards. Usually this takes a few tries to get right, but they nailed it the first time, which was good as there was a line of golfers waiting to use that green!
