Maternity Session in Cazenovia

Lee and Julie are in one of the most exciting stages of life – expecting their first baby! Their little girl is set to arrive in just about a month and I was able to capture some photos to celebrate this season. Their maternity session in Cazenovia was simultaneously relaxed and joy-filled and I loved every minute of it!

I’ve technically known these two since 2008 when Lee and I were in the same freshman Biology class at SUNY Geneseo! Four years later, Lee wound up being housemates with Caleb while they went through the physical therapy program at SUNY Upstate. Julie had already graduated from the program and was working at the Syracuse VA when Caleb accepted a job there. Over the years our paths have crossed SO MANY times, but this session was the first time I had gotten to spend some time with them in a while.

If you live in the Central New York area, you know that the last month has been rainy. If it hasn’t been actively storming, it’s been a steady drizzle. For days. Without end. Lee and Julie lucked out and got the one dry day that we’ve had in weeks! And they chose to do their session at my favorite location – the Lorenzo State Historic Site. Lorenzo is always so beautiful that it’s my go-to for photo sessions in the CNY area.

Lee and Julie are expecting a little girl in just a few weeks and it’s clear that they are so excited! We talked about all the baby things – from their baby shower and putting away all the little clothes, to little girl accessories (bows, bows, and more bows!), to staying active during pregnancy. Julie and Lee are both runners and have even competed in some local races while expecting! I didn’t have them run during their session, but we did roam all over the Lorenzo grounds, and the photos are so sweet!
