One of my dreams when we bought our farm in 2019 was to be able to use the property for photo sessions. I’m happy to say that that dream has certainly become a reality over the last two years! I’ve shot a number of family sessions at our farm and have hosted mini sessions here each fall. Today I’m featuring my favorite images from the 2021 Fall Mini Sessions!
Mini Sessions are similar to a normal portrait session, but are shorter and include less images. They are perfect if you just need a few images for Christmas cards or an occasional update of your family photos. I’ve had people book mini sessions for updated headshots or for pet photos. Minis are also great for families with active kids who don’t want to go through an hour of portraits. I love doing a mini session with my own family each year and only invest in a full portrait session every few years.
This year we had a wide range of families join us at the farm for their portraits. I created a set-up with hay bales, pumpkins, and mums for an easy portrait location, and we also explored the fields and yard in front of our barn. The barn looks SO beautiful surrounded by fall foliage, so it really was perfect!
Mini sessions move fast because each family only has 20 minutes and the sessions are back-to-back. Despite the fast pace, these families did great! They were all smiles and the kids cooperated beautifully! I love the group shots in the field and the shots of the kids in front of the barn. I also loved getting to be part of a big family announcement this year (scroll down to see)! Each of these sessions was so much fun and I can’t wait to offer these sessions again next year!
