I love newborn sessions, and apparently so do you! Last week you all voted on which type of session I should feature on the blog and newborn won by a landslide. Lucky for all of you, I’ve been keeping these darling pictures to myself since August and now is the perfect time to showcase them! Today’s blog features sweet Mariella’s newborn session at home!
Kristina and Jeremy welcomed their first child, Mariella, in August. When I got to their house, we quickly realized that there had been a miscommunication about the type of newborn photos I take. Kristina had everything ready for a posed newborn session (right down to a beautiful selection of bows and accessories) and didn’t realize that she and Jeremy would have to be in the photos as well! Instead of cancelling or postponing the session, they quickly changed plans and got ready for photos. I was SO impressed with how they pulled everything together in less than ten minutes!!
I’m so glad we were able to take these photos because they turned out beautifully. Kristina and Jeremy were the best sports and Mariella didn’t fuss at all! I had such a hard time choosing favorites from this session, but I LOVE the ones of the three of them downstairs. I also love the ones of Kristina and Mariella in the nursery!
Usually, I don’t edit or share many black and whites, but this session was an exception to that rule! Something about this family was so classic that black and white seemed to capture their emotions better than color ever could!
