Some of my favorite photo sessions have started out as gifts. This summer session was a gift to Lori from her daughters for her birthday. We gathered the whole family together to do an extended family session at their home and this was the result!
One of my favorite thing to capture in photographs is generations. Not only does it give context to the image, but it adds a certain weight. It says, “This is where we started, and here’s where we are going.” As someone who loves history and heirlooms, these photos are always special to capture. It was wonderful to capture Lori with her children and grandchildren!
We decided to do the photo session right in the Burdick’s back yard. They had a large back field that was perfect for photos as the sun started to set. It also gave plenty of opportunity for the family to relax in between photos and for little Brielle to run around! Despite it being one of the hottest days of the summer, everyone had a great time!
It’s always hard to choose favorites to post from these sessions. From the whole family walking in the field to the ones of Kevin and Lori holding Brielle and the shots of Brielle hugging her mom’s tummy – there is just so much to love here!
