After a few years of waiting, Lisa and Jake finally tied the knot on Memorial Day weekend! If I could sum up the mood from this day in one word it would be “JOY!” These two were so genuinely happy and had the most beautiful wedding at Tailwater Lodge.
We always start the day with taking photos of the bride and groom’s details. These are the little things like jewelry and small heirlooms, that are meaningful to them, but that might not be big or bold enough to stand out in the photos. Lisa’s details were so timeless – from her pearl-studded shoes, to her elegant jewelry, to the hairclip that was worn by her matron-of-honor at her wedding last year! I love the way these shots turned out!
After getting ready, Lisa and Jake shared an emotional First Look. They both shed a few tears while they hugged and took in the reality that this was THEIR wedding day! We could visibly see them relax as they spent this time together. Just having 10 minutes to themselves set the tone for a relaxed and joy-filled day!
The rest of the day went smoothly. Lisa and Jake were simply beaming through the ceremony and reception! At one point Lisa came to me and said, “This is so much fun, I wish I could get married everyday!” As a wedding vendor, there are no better words to hear! Knowing that they were truly having the best day of their lives made this wedding so much fun to photograph!
