The Ginters – Anniversary Session at our Farm

Pennellville, New York

This session is one that just makes me smile whenever I see the images. Brenda and Fran are celebrating 35 years of marriage this summer and decided to commemorate the milestone with an anniversary session at our farm!

I’ve first met the Ginter’s well before I moved to Syracuse. Their son, Andrew, and I were good college friends and a group of us would come out to visit them during the summers or on school breaks. A few years ago I reconnected with Brenda and Fran at Andrew’s wedding. Then we ran into each other this spring at a school play. When they asked if I’d be willing to do their portraits it was and easy “yes!”

I love photographing anniversary sessions maybe even more than engagements and weddings! There is something so comfortable and easy about couples who have been together for so long. Brenda and Fran are so fun to talk to and we had a blast wandering around the property for their photos.

This is the first year that we’ve had a full flower field, so it was fun to take some photos amongst the sunflowers and zinnias. As always though, I especially love the ones of them in the field! Brenda was so prepared and brought different accessories, like a hat and blanket, that really added variety in addition to the different locations. Even though we didn’t get the sunny evening we hoped for, the images turned out perfectly!

Here are my favorite moments from the Ginter’s anniversary session at our farm!
