Parenthood is always such a joy for me to photograph. It’s crazy how holding your baby for the first time completely changes your life and the way you view love. Getting to witness that deep love and capture it in photos is such a privilege!
Austin and Alex are clearly head-over-heels for sweet Ava! Their smiles and mannerisms during the session gave the impression that they were well settled into parenthood. And Ava! I can’t believe how well she did! Taking photos of a two month old can be tricky because they are often awake…and crying. Not so with this little one! She was so alert and inquisitive, but barely made a peep!
Austin and Alex were in town from New York City, visiting family. We were able to use Alex’s parents’ home on Cazenovia Lake for the photos and it was the perfect location! The lighting on the lawn overlooking the lake was just beautiful. I always love when families choose to get photos taken in spots that have meaning to them!
It was so hard to choose which images to share from this session! One of my favorites is the one of Ava smiling while her parents were making silly noises and faces at her. Just adorable! I love the individual ones of each parent holding Ava, too!
