Syracuse, New York
Spring is finally here in Syracuse, and last weekend we faced the proverbial “April showers.” Thankfully, one family was willing to brave the elements and, boy was it worth it! We caught a break in the rain and the session went beautifully!
Don and Jennifer, along with their three kids, spouses, and grandkids met me at Onondaga Park for an extended family session. Onondaga Park is one of my favorite places for photographing large families because of the beautiful open spaces overlooking the lake. Everyone can fit comfortably in the photos, while being framed by idyllic willow trees. Plus you don’t have to go far to get a lot of different backgrounds and variety for the photos. Add in some bright spring foliage and that’s a recipe for a lovely family portrait.
Extended families are one of my favorite groups to photograph. I love when cousins and different generations get to have photos taken together. Don and Jennifer’s grandkids did such a great job cooperating for these photos. I love the photos of the kids on the bridge!
